• THE 5TH STAND is an app for fans to use during game time.

    THE APP’S GOAL WAS TO DIRECT FANS THERE WHO MAY NOT EVER GO TO A GAME OR AT HOME AND WANT TO FEEL PART OF THE EXPERIENCE.

  • FOR THIS, MY FOCUS WAS ON HOW TO INCLUDE EVERYONE IN LIVE GAME PLAY AND PUSH PEOPLE TO USE THE APP ON A REGULAR BASIS. ANOTHER AIM WAS TO HAVE A POINTS SYSTEM FOR THE APP IN THE WAY OF REWARDS FOR FANS.

    THE APP ALREADY OFFERS NEWS, VIDEOS AND UP TO DATE CONTENT ON THE MATCH DAYS AND PLAYERS, SO I WANTED TO OFFER SOMETHING MORE PROACTIVE. AS THE APP BEREAL HAS BEEN TAKING OFF OVER THE PAST YEAR, IT WAS A HUGE INSPIRATION TO MAKE THIS FEATURE PART OF THE APP SO FANS COULD TAKE A PHOTO OF WHEREVER THEY ARE WATCHING THE GAME. ANOTHER FEATURE WAS TO ADD CHESLEA AND FOOTBALL THEMED QUIZZES FOR FANS TO DO AND EARN REWARD POINTS FROM AS AN ENGAGING AND EXCITING PART OF THE APP.

    THE COLOURS I CHOSE FOR THE APP WAS CHELSEA’S ICONIC ROYAL BLUE AND CONTRASTING BRIGHT YELLOW. THE TEAM HAVE USED YELLOW IN KITS BEFORE BUT I WANTED TO PUSH IT TO MORE OF A BRIGHTER YELLOW TO FEEL FRESH.
